Today’s gaming news brings about a somber announcement, which comes in the form of Reggie Fils-Aime’s retirement.
Set to retire in April, the president and COO will be replaced by Doug Bowser who is currently VP of Sales and Marketing for the company. Yes folks, we have finally reached the day, Bowser has succeeded in taking over Nintendo.
Being in his role for over a decade Fils-Aime commented on his departure stating “Nintendo owns a part of my heart forever.” and continuing on to say “”It’s a part that is filled with gratitude – for the incredibly talented people I’ve worked with, for the opportunity to represent such a wonderful brand, and most of all, to feel like a member of the world’s most positive and enduring gamer community.”
So grab your tissues because unfortunately it is too early for this to be an April Fools joke. You can watch Reggie’s full goodbye message down below.
