As promised, a new extended Kingdom Hearts III trailer was released by Square Enix earlier today.

The footage focuses on numerous pieces of the game but primarily focuses on the world of Big Hero 6 and its heroes as they join forces with Sora, Donald and Goofy to defeat Heartless enemies. Along with this, other familiar faces came into play as the trailer showed off characters from the realm of Frozen, Pirates of the Caribbean and Twilight Town (I know, we’re freaking out too)!

Wait, there’s more! This wasn’t the only thing to be released today, as the cover art for the game which was designed by Tetsuya Nomura made its debut also. The cover which can be viewed above features a contrast of well blended colors and an array of the beloved characters which each hold a special place in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. This image was posted on the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter, with a caption that read “As we draw closer to the launch of III we’d like to show you all the cover art for the game! This stunning piece, featuring a number of iconic characters, was created by series director Tetsuya Nomura.

Kingdom Hearts III will launch onto both Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles on January 29, 2018.
